Catfood WebCamSaver 2.00 released. WebCamSaver now includes time zones, Vista compatibility, static cam support and can display up to sixteen webcams simultaneously.

Catfood WebCamSaver displays live webcam images from around the world as a captivating screensaver. You can choose to watch a single view or split the screen and watch four or sixteen webcams simultaneously.

Time zone information is stored for each webcam and you can show local time together with the location of the webcam. You have full control over the font and color used for display and can disable this information and just enjoy the view. You can even use the time zone feature to only display webcams during daylight (or lunchtime).

The list of webcams is automatically updated from Catfood Software, we add new locations and updates every week. WebCamSaver also supports user entered webcams - you can make your own list of favorite views, or just display a single webcam and keep an eye on local traffic or monitor your own webcam at home.

Desktate has been updated to include NASA Blue Marble 2 monthly imagery that may optionally be combined on a daily basis to show the extent of snow and ice cover throughout the year. Desktate also includes support for time zones with a layer that displays local time throughout the world. Finally, 2.20 has an image export feature that allows you to save a single Desktate map or render a sequence of frames for creating an animation.

Catfood Desktate is an eye catching earth simulator that combines satellite imagery, near real time cloud data and optional layers including political borders and place names. The continuously updated result can be set as your desktop wallpaper or used as a screensaver.

The terminator between day and night is continuously calculated; you can see sunrise and sunset around the world and observe the changing seasons throughout the year. Desktate includes several satellite images and you can download more to find the perfect combination. You can also control the transparency of the night image and the duration of sunset/sunrise.
You can choose to rotate the image (so for example local noon or local midnight is always at the center of the screen) or fix the map on one location and watch the terminator progress across your screen during the day.

Catfood Weather 1.00 released. Weather provides a regularly updated seven day forecast for any location in the continental United States.

Catfood Software is pleased to announce the release of Catfood Weather version 1.00.

Catfood Weather provides a regularly updated seven day forecast on your desktop. The forecast is downloaded from the National Weather Service for any location in the continental United States, easily configured by entering a ZIP code. You can set up multiple locations and then switch forecast from the taskbar menu.

Catfood Weather runs as a taskbar icon that is updated to show today's forecast. Hover your mouse over the icon to see current conditions, click the icon to bring up the seven day forecast.

The Microsoft 1.1 .NET framework is required to run Catfood Weather; the installer will download this component if necessary.

Catfood Desktate 2.00 released. Desktate combines satellite images to create a world map displaying day and night around the world. Version 2 includes border and places layers, improved shading and the ability to fix the map to a location as well as a specific time.
