The Save World Image dialog allows you to save either a single image or a series of images (for instance as frames to use in an animation - see the Seasons video at Catfood Software for an example of a video made this way). Your current Desktate settings are used for the saved image.
Set the Date and Time for the first image in the sequence - this will affect the terminator and the extent of snow and ice in the Blue Marble imagery if these options are selected. If you're saving more than one image then the Date and Time are incremented by the number of minutes entered in the Step field for each additional image (the default, 1440 minutes is equal to 24 hours). You can also adjust the Height and Width - all of the default images included with Catfood Desktate are twice as wide as they are high. Finally choose the output path - for a single image this is the filename to save to, for multiple images the path is preserved but the filename is replaced with the numerical frame number (i.e. 00000001.jpg, 00000002.jpg, ...).
Click Save to output the image or images. The progress bar will update as each image is saved but the dialog will be otherwise unresponsive during the process.
Currently the Save World Image function only supports saving images in JPEG format.
