Catfood Desktate can display the current world image as desktop wallpaper, a screensaver or both. Use Desktate Mode to choose the option that you prefer, or to disable Catfood Desktate entirely. The screensaver does not need to be separately configured, all of the settings are controlled from Catfood Desktate. This section also allows you to set the Update Frequency in minutes.
If Display combined day and night image is checked then Catfood Desktate will calculate sunset and sunrise around the world. The pictures used for day and night are set on the Images tab. You can control the length of sunset/sunrise and the transparency used to combine the two pictures on the Advanced tab. If the option is not checked then Desktate will rotate and display the day picture (the night picture is ignored).
Fit entire world on screen will stretch (or compress) the current image to your screen so the entire world is always visible. If this option is disabled the current image still fills the screen but will not display the entire world (unless you have a wide enough monitor).
Catfood Desktate can be set to keep a time or a location in the center of the screen. Select Rotate image to keep a time in the center, enter the time as hh:mm (24 hour clock). For example setting 12:00 will rotate the image throughout the day so that local noon is always in the center of the screen.
Select Fix location to center the image on a specific place. You can either enter the longitude directly (decimal format - i.e. 128.43) or click the browse button (...) to select the location from the current day picture. With the location fixed the terminator (if Display combined day and night image is selected) will sweep across the screen during the day showing sunrise and sunset around the world.
